Subject: Re: 1/16 ribs

Frank, Steve here.
I'm going to build a clamping device for the ribs.
I will buld the ribs flat against the table. The bottom will rest against
a 3/4"sq. straight piece of wood drywall screwed to the table. This will
allow a stop for the bottom capstrip.
Then the top will be cut to the shape of the rib out of 3/4" ply. the
lingth of the rib about 6" wide. glue some 3/4" insulating foam rubber
to the inside edges of this air foil shaped piece. and the bottom stop
strip .Ths will alow equal pressure all around the rib. May need to wax
the foam, or cover with masking tape as not to stick to the top
capstrip.
2 or 3 blocks screwed to the table and wedges to tighten the gap when
clamping.
This is just an idea I thought of when I built up the first rib .
