Subject: Newbie questions.

Hi, I am new to the FlyBaby mailing list. I ordered the plans from Mr. Bower
last week and I can't wait to get them in the mail!
I have two questions,
1) A lot of different documents on the Internet say that the airframe minus
engine, prop & instruments can be built for about $4000. I have been pricing
various parts and I came up with a total closer to $7000. That difference
could be due to several things a)what I'm reading on the internet is out of
date, b)I priced as many new, prefabricated components as possible when I
should build them myself, or c)I am pricing the wrong stuff. (or a
combination of the three)
Any opinions? Can I really build the airframe for $4000?
2) Does anyone know where I can get cockpit and panel pictures? I have a
bunch of flying and ground pictures but I am suffering from severe curiosity
about the instrument panel and controls and just the general 'feel' of the
cockpit. Does anyone have those posted somewhere or have some scanned
pictures that they could send me? (Don't go to any trouble, I can live
without them)

I look forward to hearing everyone's stories about the Fly Baby.

Thanks,
Scott Sanford
