I have to agree with your assertion on your web site that the straight edge
of the attachment plate need to be parallel with the straight line of LG
leg attachment to the fuselage . It looks as if (I haven't recieved my set
of plans yet, but...) the polygon shaped plates have been wielded to the
axle based on a line perpendicular the the long axis of the ellipse (formed
by the angular cut of the tube) and parallel to the narrow edge of the
attachment plate. The wide edge of the attachment plate should be the line
perpendicular to the long axis of the ellipse.
(this is based on the shape of the attachment plate and how it looks like it
should attach to the legs, I haven't seen the plans yet.) It seems like it
was wielded wrong at the wrong angle.
