Just got back from Oshkosh, early. Didn't seem to be as many people,
planes or vendors. I did my shopping quickly, since there wasn't much to
choose from. The Aeromart had a lot of empty tables.
I did get reacquainted with John Fulton. He has flown his Flybaby to the
Fly-in for 26 consecutive years! He was unaware of this DG, but should
be signing on soon. I also saw a yellow and white Baby taxi by, but
never found it.
My status. I will be applying the sheet metal leading edges this week.
Hope to be covering wings and tail by the end of next month. I have
built a stainlees steel firewall for my pressure cowling installation.
It was very easy to form, using mostly hand tools.
I found a copy of the December 1962 Sport Aviation that contains the
original Flybaby article. Imagine my surprise when I read the name on
the address label of the previous owner... Steve Wittman !
