First, you have'ta use those ittty bitty brass coated half inch nails.
Believe it or not, a whole pound of them is plenty for the whole plane, so
weight is not an issue. I hold them with a pair of needle nose and drive
them with a 3 ounce hammer. Start by clamping the capstrip to the nose of
the rib with a bar clamp and work towards the trailing edge. Filament
packing tape makes a good temporary clamp, too. You will eventually end up
owning about a billion clamps. Buy clamps at Big Lots, bargain bins,
Harbor Freight, etc. You do not need to buy the expensive name brand
jobbies.
